A REtrospective Study to Describe the Real-World Treatment Landscape in Patients with Metastatic Castration-Resistant PROstate Cancer: REMPRO - Beyond the Abstract

February 23, 2026

Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) presents significant treatment challenges. Although androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) has been the standard treatment for metastatic prostate cancer for over 80 years, its efficacy is often limited to the initial treatment phase for most patients.

Ray Manneh: Hello. I'm Dr. Ray Manneh. I'm a GU oncologist from Colombia. And I'd like to thank you here today for highlighting our job.

We did a retrospective analysis of mCRPC patients across eight countries in Asia, Middle East, and Latin America. We included 795 patients, and we saw several interesting things like that we have a higher debut of the disease in the mHSPC setting. We also saw that the most used therapies in the first line of mCRPC was the new hormonal agents as well as in the second line.

We also saw that we have shorter durations of lines of therapy in our setting, and this might reflect worse outcomes in our population given the late diagnosis that we are facing. This also might reflect lower access to continuous therapies in the mCRPC scenario across low and middle income countries.

I'd like to thank again, and I hope you enjoy our paper.
