Urge Urinary Incontinence and Pregnancy: A Systematic Review - Beyond the Abstract

Our systematic review examines urge urinary incontinence (UUI) in pregnancy. We identified several risk factors for UUI. A key finding is the literature's predominant focus on quantifying UUI symptoms rather than their impact on quality of life, sexual function, and mental health. The lack of standardized questionnaires hinders comparisons for treating this population. Further research is needed to evaluate intervention strategies that shift towards patient-centered outcomes.
